Getting Things Sorted

My group and I started talking more about our project today and who should do what for the infomercial.
The script is just about underway.
We have decided to use the green screen room on campus.
We're hoping to be in there in the next couple of weeks

I have been selected to handle the sound work for the project
I was very happy to be the one for the job as I really enjoy the whole process of sound
I will have to create some background music for the project

As we have decided the project should go for 4-5 minutes the music track may need to go
for the duration and not be to repetitive.

I'll have to get stuck into some Logic Express and Fruity Loops.

Proposal

Our theme that we decided to address was that shopping receipts that are unsustainable in its use of paper, and could potentially have negative health effects, our group has decided to tackle the issue of shopping receipts, using an infomercial that will inform the watcher about the history of receipts, the harm they cause to the environment and possible solutions to the issue.

Using green screen technology and motion graphics we will create an infomercial that will be an engaging and informative experience. The target audience will be roughly 25-35 year olds of both genders. Since receipts are only useful to the working members of society this demographic will be involved in the use of receipts but very open and adaptable to new systems especially involving digital technology and use of the internet. The infomercial will be theoretically aired in television commercials and online streaming.

A possible digital solution is a digital receipt online storing system that works similarly to a loyalty card that can be scanned via barcode and the information will be uploaded to your account with a provider. This system will no only make the users life easier in terms of organising and record keeping but also reduce the environmental strain that the current system has. (Link to www.myreceiptcard.com)

First Day Back

On monday i was assigned to group for a research project.
Our group consisted of Harrison, Jess, Anna and Myself.
We started talking about how things like newspapers, comics, magazines ect should slowly be faded out and transferred to electrical devices such as the iPad or kindle

I started doing a little bit of comparing between books and the iPads storage space that could be used for ebooks

300 Page Book - weight 1.81kg
1000 books = weight 1,814 kg

64 GB iPad - weight 0.60kg
Holds about 128,000 eBooks on an iPad

I know which one i would rather carry around with me

One idea we thought of was to do something along the lines of a montage like on the show "Hungry Beast"
Heres a link to one of the videos
